Including these links here for my own sake. I'm not getting any information with the default OBD settings so I went searching around for a Toyota specific PID list.
I don't know much at the moment so honestly this link doesn't mean much to me. http://alflash.com.ua/OBDII/PIDs.pdf
This code list seems to be a bit more sensible with straightforward "P1100" type codes. https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/toyota/
No idea how useful this info really is. Going to continue doing research day by day!
