Oh btw the 22F190 command seems to return your VIN. I've documented this in https://github.com/OBDb/BMW-X3/issues/5. Probably nothing for us to do there though because it looks like you car's also returning the VIN via the standard 0902 command.

Some pretty cool info in here. Germans being germans
Ah nice — much of the value of the OBDb project (https://github.com/OBDb) is to ideally source and credit all of the awesome work people have done discovering how to talk to our cars

Once I finish responding to all of the other onboarding car requests I'll look into how to resolve the ECU problem for this BMW + the Lexus IS300.

Re: 🕝 BMW X3 M40i support
In theory BMW's should be much more straightforward compared to other brands I think due to how much aftermarket support there is in terms of tuning and coding. Bimmerlink/Bimmercode have it figured out for BMW's so the info should be out there. OBDeleven for VW/Audi group.

Re: 🛑 BMW X3 M40i support
I think we're pretty close to saying the X3 is onboarded! V1.20 is off to App Store review with the OBD scanner improvements so now we just need to confirm the supported Connectables.
- Is Fuel Level connectable and correct?
- Is Speed connectable and correct?
- Is Odometer connectable and correct?
I'll take a quick look to see if I can find any range or TPMS parameters, and then will start drawing up the symbol!

Fuel level according to the mybmw app says 96%/622km. Does sidecar round up the value? On my phone sidecar says 100% as of now (not connected to the car so going off last value). Speed was 0 so that was correct and ODO is correct.

Also if you find TPMS data you might also be able to find tire temps as that is something the car can show on the displays.

Re: 🛑 BMW X3 M40i support
Awesome thanks for confirming! I did notice your most recent logs indicated that the fuel level was maxed out at 100%; I've seen this behavior in my Juke as well so it might just be a buffer thing where OBD doesn't track the top n% of the fuel tank from an OBD pov. If you're able to get another snapshot sometime later on when the fuel level's a bit lower we can look into maybe calibrating the fuel level parameter, but for now I'll mark it as onboarded.
