Had side car open for my 2 hour drive with most of the time it being on the wireless CarPlay screen. I’m on 18.2 Dev Beta.
Is this expected draw? Or does having it on the car play screen cause a bigger draw?

With OBD + wireless CarPlay I have seen it averaging between 10-20% recently yeah. I have personally felt this is too high and I am planning on doing some instrumentation passes on the battery usage to see if I can optimize this further. There's quite a bit going on to enable OBD + wireless CarPlay + widgets, so there's likely a minimum threshold here that will be hard to get past, but I bet there's some wins I can find to lower the battery draw.

Yeah I get that it’s a load on the system. Just wanted to make sure it was within the norm. Most the time I also have my phone plugged in to charge but this trip I didn’t.
Thanks for the fast response! Loving the weather widget and excited for Spotify now playing widget!!

While it is the norm right now, I hope to get it much lower! My personal goal is that Sidecar never really goes above 10% battery usage for typical day-to-day use, so I consider this 10-20% range as a signal that I need to do some optimization passes.
