Ok added a bunch more parameters in SHA: 1af468c, namely the HV cell pack parameters, state of health, and maybe watt-hours remaining in the pack.

Hi all. I’m trying to onboard my 2022 Hyundai Kona Electric and running into similar issues. Can I help with the troubleshooting?

@UnnDunn Oh I just noticed you haven't registered for the beta group yet; can you follow the steps in http://sidecar.clutch.engineering/beta/ so that I can make sure to track you appropriately as we onboard your car?

@Kona electric owners: I'm currently waiting on OBD logs from anyone with a Kona Electric in order to start diagnosing why parameters might not be appearing. Please follow the instructions at https://sidecar.clutch.engineering/help ... -scan-logs after you've attempted a scan session with your car and then email the logs to support@clutch.engineering.

v1.20.1 was also just released today, so please make sure you're up-to-date in the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/electric- ... 1663683832

@Kona electric owners Summarizing where we're at with onboarding so far.

VIN detection

The Kona EV does not seem to be willing to report its VIN using any of the standard mechanisms, which can cause the scanner not to end up using any of the parameters we've defined for the vehicle.

I've put together a walk-through video on how to configure Sidecar to use an override VIN in this case: https://www.threads.net/@featherless/post/DB3yS-KM7kn

Please confirm you've set up the override behavior and then try doing another scanning session. You should see the various parameters appear in the Parameters page for your vehicle. Scroll through each of those to get Sidecar to try to pull the values, and then send another OBD logs export please to support@clutch.engineering.

Seeing if we can get the VIN to respond

Please also run the following commands in a terminal before sending the OBD export:

Code: Select all

I sent an export of the logs after performing the VIN override, sending the terminal commands and browsing the Connectables. Hope it’s helpful.
